My hair has gone through it. Going from black back to light blonde in the last year. I naturally have thick, corse hair, but its really dry and i have lost some since having my babies. Im taking hair vitamins from trader joes, but I'm looking for something more before it gets worse. Any great advice. I'd love to hear what worked for you. Thanks!
Anyone have any miracle advice for dry, damaged hair?
egg yolk works wonders for dry hair, mix it with some yogurt add lemon juice and olive oil and apply it on the hair from root to tip.cover ur head with a shower/plastic bag.wash after 20-30 mins.egg has a foul smell so u may hav to shampoo a couple of times but the results r worth it.
also try the body shop's brazil nut cream, u can leave it on over night or have a 15 mins treatment ,towel-wrapping ur hair with cream before shampooing.
Good luck!

Take lots of vitamins. Also, there are alot of leave in products to help strengthen your hair. Make sure you get lots of trims to promote new hair growth. Good luck!

Mine is naturally dry and wavy. I use Kirkland shampoo from Costco, and Fructis conditioner, then use curl life by Matrix on it. (You can get that at any salon). It usually is quite manageable without the frizz, and smells great!

Soak the hair in buttermilk, wrap a towel around and let "sit" for 10 minutes, then wash out with mild shampoo. (You may have to lather and rinse a few times to get the smell out.)
Sounds weird, but worked great for me!

tresseme shampoo is great.
It restores protiens that are missing from your hair.

OLIVE OIL!!!
INGREDIENTS (enough for 1 or 2 treatments, depending on the length and thickness of your hair)
闄?cup olive oil
5 drops frankincense essential oil (others may be substituted, if you wish)
1 plastic bag that can fit over your hair.
1. Pour olive oil into a jar with a lid, then add essential oil. Put lid on jar and shake well to disperse the essential oil. Let sit for 24 hours in a cool, dark place. Shake again before use.
2. Rinse hair with warm water. Warm 1 tablespoon of oil treatment in the palms of your hands. Using your fingertips (not nails), gently massage the oil into the scalp in a circular motion. Repeat until the entire scalp has been massaged. Rub the ends of your hair with the remaining oil.
3. Place a plastic bag over your hair, secure by tying or with a hair clip or clothespin, and allow the oil to remain for at least 闄?hour.
4. Rinse well, then shampoo as usual.
