I need help with my hair!?

I have several things that I need addressed... firstly, I just got a hair cut yesterday. I was extremely happy with it when I left the salon, but after I got home and played with it, I'm becoming increasingly frustrated. I am not at all good at styling. It's a short and choppy cut that I had hoped to be able to flip out in certain places, but so far no luck. Any ideas on styles to get me through the week? I plan to have it cut again next weekend but I'm worried. I'm heavier, but losing weight, and I would like a shorter do. I was thinking of either a short stacked style with sleek bangs, or something sleek in the front and spikey in the back. Any big girls wanna help a sister out with her decision?! I would be FOREVER grateful for anyones input, but please, refrain from any smart alec responses. Only people that are serious about helping me out!

Maybe you could go back and ask your stylist for a quick lesson on how to do it, They should be happy to do this especially if they know you'll be able to do it at home easier, because this is their work, after all you are a walking advertisement and they want their work to look great. I know I would rather someone come back to me than not be completey happy. Good luck with your new style.

to be honest, whenever anyone gets a new haircut, it's always going to feel and look different. I get extremely frustrated after a haircut too, because you cant style it the way you used to be able to. All i can say is play around with it, maybe take some pictures, and whatever you feel comfortable with, use it!

if you are heavy dont cut it any shorther than in a stack.....it will make your face seem bigger with short hair

First of all why are you getting it cut again? New haircuts are always a pain, but if you liked it when you left the salon, you will like it again, once you get used to the new style. Also, try quality products on your hair, this includes the type of curly iron or flat iron you may use. Give a couple of weeks. Also, I'm personally am a big fan of bangs, it gives a chance to play up your eyes.

i'm not too big (not at all, tell ya the truth), but i know about hair...mines down to my waist! firstly, don't be frustrated. heavier people look good in short hair: usually sleek, but side-bangs---NOT OUT IN FRONT. at my middle school, there's a girl who's kinda heavy, has side-bangs, and looks GORGEOUS. forget the hair next week, and grow it out to ur shoulders. if it's not straight(it'll look better, that way) then buy a straightener, or get a japanese perm. for the week, start the new year bold, and get a little edge---but not crazy.have ur side bangs all go to one side, and find some hair gel to make the back sleeker, and make the bangs last the day.

i hope i helped a little!

good luck!

If you have a flat iron great, if not invest. When blowdrying leave only an inch section down at a time. Don't blowdry it all at once, hairdressers always do it in sections for a reason. Next resection and flat iron. I think you will like your cut again.
