Knowing the effect of chemotherapy has on people, you know like losing hair etc, will having sex with

have the same effect or any effect ?

Knowing the effect of chemotherapy has on people, you know like losing hair etc, will having sex with a person?

Do you mean to ask: if having sex with a person who is undergoing chemo make YOUR hair fall out too? Or what? I was really confused by your question.Didn't know what you meant unless it was this.

People undergoing chemotherapy lose their hair because chemotherapy, among other actions, acts on fast growing cells.Hair follicle cells and gastric(stomach) cells are also fast growing cells, this is one reason chemo is so hard on the GI tract (stomach,mouth,esophagus,intestines,ect.... and the reason the hair begins to come out about 2 weeks after the first treatment.

Not all chemotherapy causes hair to come out.some do not.It depends on the particular drug.

None of this has any PHYSICAL effect on a person who has sex or any other relation with someone going through cancer treatment. But the emotional fall out on the spouse or significant other is very hard sometimes.

There are a lot of misunderstandings and misconceptions about cancer treatment. This is one reason people are afraid to seek treatment or refuse it.One way of thinking is: the treatment is worst than the disease, why go through all that if it isn't going to work, ect.

I went through 8+ months of breast cancer treatment. It was no picnic,I assure you.But you know, life is worth it to me.Don't let fear keep you from asking questions and learning about it.

What, will having sex with someone make them lose their hair?

Damn all those women!

ALL body fluids should be strictly avoided with a person on chemotherapy.

I'm not sure if that is what you meant by your question or not?!?

There are various types of drugs used for chemo but as I mentioned before ALL fluids are treated as contaminated!

Besides the person has a weakened immune system as well. Not a wise choice.

yes if you have sex with them their hair will fall out.....come off it what kind of question is that?!!

That's a no no for anyone on Chemo. First I am sure they are in no mood to have it plus, their immune system is weakened so any extra exposure to infection or illness could be very hazardous to their health.

No it won't do a thing to the person you have sex with.

i know a few ppl that did chemotherapy and they were all told by their doctor when they go to the toilet they have to flush twice because the chemicals in their urine can actually chew up the bowl/pipes.

if it can do that to porcelain i wouldn't be putting any of my body parts near it....

No the only effect is they might be wek and not have much stamina for sex.

i don't think the person will be in mood to do and if so they hardly get some energy to survive after the chemo and then they will wast it in making love...not a good idea at all to me.

you can still have sex whether your on chemo or radiation the only thing it affects is the sex drive and it takes a little longer to do what you wont to do the person that takes the therapy still has needs just like the person not on the therapy
