It all depends on the size of the perm rods they are using. The smaller the rod the tighter the curl. I think you are wanting more of a body wave than a perm. Her curls are pretty loose, so you'd need to have very big rollers. Try wetting your hair and braiding it loosely. Then after it has dried, take out the braid. Of course, that only works until you get your hair wet again.
