well...my hair was very thick....i mean its still thick.But iam afraid if losing sooo much hair will make it think n lanky.....
pls help..my mum is not of any help at all!!she tells me to apply oil thats it!!!and i apply it too...but no results!!!in fact that makes me apply even more shampoo in the shower to remove the oil!!!

How often do you wash your hair, it is actually bad o wash it ever day, cos you take all het oil off and then it becomes weak and dies off, if it is large amounts falling out, and it doesnt seem to be replaced, go se your doctor as you might just have a allergic reaction somate or a condition of which can be treated

Do panic about whats causing it though. Are you sick? maybe you should get a check up or speak to a nutritionist.

No oil!!!! That wont help! Do you wear alot of pony tails? If you do you could be shedding hair all at once instead of throughout the day. We lose hundreds of hair strands a day. If it doesnt stop ask your mom to take you to the doctor to get your thyroid checked out.... that can cause hair loss.

There's something you're putting in your hair that might be causing the loss. For starters, don't put oil i your hair (you'll look like a freakin' greaser... and guys don't want to touch hair that reminds them of an eel).
Wash your hair every week (or at most every few days)... and take multivitamins to help keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy. I think fish oil tablets work best (but don't quote me on that one).

eat fruits and vegetables. and two tablespoons of oliveoil in your system some how. because it helps let your hair grow. i know it sounds weird but trust me.
if wanting to let your hair not all fall out eat fruits and vegetables. and like if you had a salad ad alittle oliveoil because if helps your hair grow and all.

you should change your shampoo and conditioner, go to the drug store and get a vitamin for your hair......
You could be under stress or not eatting the right foods....
also a hair cut can help the process

in the Philippines, it says that if you son't shampoo you hair, it would thicken you hair. . . well. . . i'm not sure of that info. . . they also say the using the horse shampoo is also an effective way thickening you hair. . .
but, consult first a doctor or some medical help before acting those procedures, because later on, there might be a damage in you hair if you've mistaken the things to apply in you hair. . .

Hair loss is a symptom of under active thyroid (hypothyroid). I suggest you see your doctor and ask for a blood test. That happened to me, too. And now that I take synthroid, I'm fine.

there are lots of shampoos in the market that specializes on hair fall... you should try it.. but 1 thing that my mom told me is to not to use different brands of shampoos coz it cud trigger hair loss and also, use combs that have large tooth or bristles....

Everyone loses some hair, sometimes it seems like its a lot but your hair is always growing. Have you gone to a hair stylist and asked? They may be able to help you.
If you had a perm or hair color recently, that can do it as well as stress. If its a stress issue, a Dr can give you a medication to help. Good Luck

If it's not visibly thinning, I wouldn't worry about it. If you lose hair it means new hairs are coming in. It is perfectly normal to lose hundreds of hairs a day. It means new hair is growing, like I said unless it LOOKS thinner don't sweat it.

Okay, same thing happened to me. First, look at your diet. Are you restricting with food? Are you getting enough nutrience? What about protein? What you put into your body is a big facter on your outside appearance. Also have you been damaging your hair? hair drying, straightening, dying your hair?
Hair loss is natural, and happens everyday, maybe you just havent noticed. But, if this is a recent thing try to start taking care of your hair. Try to airdry, deep condition and eat healthy. The oil your mom is suggesting makes it so your hair is not dry, it is helpful. Try to get the right amount of protein, and vitamins back into your system to strengthen your hair and prevent anymore loss. Hair doesn't have a quick fix when it comes to growth so be patient. Stressing over it will only make it worse even though it's a hard thing not to do. Hair is a girls pride and joy. This also could be genetic, so you might want to think positively and accept this new hair. Accepting doesn't mean you have to like it, just means you are aware of it. Okay, good luck. And be patient, it'll be alrite.

People lose hair everyday. I lose about two brush fulls a day. I have long hair. Each time I comb or brush it I lose even more. That is completely normal. Oil actually dries out the hair and can lead to more hair breaking off. Over shampooing doesn't help either. Shampooing and conditioning daily/every other day, blow drying on the lowest possible heat setting, avoiding ironing/curling, avoid hair dyes and a lot of product (gels, hairsprays), eating nutritional foods, are the best ways to ensure happy healthy hair. There could be other reasons also. I found a website that lists the possible causes of hair loss and side symptoms that would point to a possible medical problem.

When you're healthy, your hair is healthy. Your hair gets its nutrients from your blood. If you are under stress, have bad eating habits, have health issues then your hair will suffer. You should definitely eliminate anything that is causing you stress. You need to eat a balanced diet that includes a great amount of fruit, vegetables and foods in their raw/live state (not raw meat though, LOL!). Also, don't overdo it with the shampoo or oil. Oil is going to coat your hair so terribly that you will have to wash it constantly and you're then just continuing the cycle of abuse. Invest in a good shampoo and conditioner (Pantene, Garnier Fructis, Infusium) and make sure to use a leave in conditioner. If you need/want to use oil, use a LITTLE BIT of coconut oil and that's it. Take care of your hair and hope this helps some!
