How can i low my hair volume?

im curly and now i straight my hair cuz i hate iits volume, how can i lose the volume but not loosing my curls??

How can i low my hair volume?

You always can get a textured cut. Doing this technique will thin out your hair and keep your curls pretty while cutting down on the volume of your hair. Use some finishing creme and some spray shine. This will help out a lot. You can use these items even if you don't get the texturizing done.

How can i low my hair volume?

dry it pin straight then flat iron it

How can i low my hair volume?

Well, volume isn't a bad thing, it's usually the frizz that gets frustrating. You can get anti-frizz serums. If you want a curly look, there are curl-defining sprays. My favorite brand of hair products that isn't overly expensive, is Garnier Fructise.

How can i low my hair volume?

you can always go to the hair place, and get it relaxed. My Cousins girlfriend had her hair done and it still had some curls but it wasn't frizzy. And if you still want that curly look, it takes like 10 min to curl your hair with an iron.

How can i low my hair volume?

well idk voulme is not a bad thing its god your going to ahve vlome when and if you have curls... i dont think you can have flat curls

Had very low testosterone and now take injections. But now I have bad receding hair on one side!?

Ok here is the scoop. Im 45, went to the doc and had male hormone tests done. To find that I had very low levels. I found that I was dragging and my mind was cloudy at times. Libido was very low also. I used the cream with no success, and had to go to weekly injections of .5cc. Well I have felt better and have a bit more muscle mass, BUT I am losing my hair now! I did not have a hair loss problem before. I have been on injections for about a year now. I am not a happy camper now, what should I do? Stop completely? Not sure the doc is concerned about hair loss.

Had very low testosterone and now take injections. But now I have bad receding hair on one side!?

Okay I've taken injections for about 10 yrs now. The gel causes a little less of the side effect you describe, but it still happens. There isn't one bald guy in my family. My dad didn't start thinning until he was 80, my brothers also have all their hair.... additionally, none of them has back hair. But here I am.. lost about half my hair, except for my back, which looks like neanderthal. It's the synthetic T. I've since talked to many guys who have taken it, and it is the same story. Other than using the gel to slow it down a bit, there is nothing much you can do. However, it all depends on how you feel. Hair can be replaced. Or I can shave my head. Or just deal with it. I'd rather have the positive effects of having my hormones in balance than worry about my hair. Mind you I don't like the idea, but it's worth it to me.

Had very low testosterone and now take injections. But now I have bad receding hair on one side!?

When do you think Dr.Phil will Lose the rest of his Hair...?

I believe the male hairline only receeds so far. I've never heard of a man going completely bald, only on the top of his head. Do you think it has something to do with global warming?

Why is my dog losing his hair?

my dog has been shedding at a ridiculous rate lately, and i'm not sure why? he usually sheds quite a bit in the spring, but not so much the fall. he appears healthy, doesn't have any skin irritations or anything that would seem to be the cause of his hair loss. he is not for lack of hair by any means, but it just seems strange. any ideas?

Why is my dog losing his hair?

A lot of things can cause a dog to lose his hair - being sick, being stressed, diet, hormone imbalances, skin infections, and the list goes on and on.

It could just be normal shedding as the winter coat comes in. If he doesn't have any bald spots and he is still acting fine - I'd just watch him for a few days.

If it is something that is really worrying you, or he starts to act differently, scratch more, stop eating, etc. - you'll need to take him to a vet.

Why is my dog losing his hair?

if something is wrong with your dogs thyroid he can lose hair.

Why is my dog losing his hair?

This issue is common amongst dogs who are older. It's most likely Thyroid problems and can be solved by giving him potassium supplements I believe.

What is the best non surgical remedy for hair loss?

i have the same problem and tried many different things. at one point i spent $1600 on trying to hide my "baldness". the very best and cheapest solution is to suck it up and deal with it. i know its hard when it first starts, but you get used to it.

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

my mum has very long hair that just down to her middle thighs. She started to grow her hair when she was in her late 30's.Now she is 45 years old.She wears her black straight mane into a huge braid bun that fixed on her head with a big hairnet.Since every friend of hers does not like her super long hair,my mum cut it short today,to should length.During the cut,lot of tear came out from mum's eyes. She used to be a very strong one ,and it was my first time saw her crying. This whole day she was very sad, which made me very sad too.I thought mum treated her hair like her treasure, and now she has lost it and could never get back (due to her age).I would ask girls ,why my mum was so sad ,What did she feel when the hairdresser chop her long hair?I have no courage to ask her directly.

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

well, she has had it attatched to her for so long, she must feel weird without it. i have hair down to my butt, and it is a part of me. i don't know if i would cry if i cut it, but it would feel like something was missing.

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

It is a bad feeling when you get your long hair cut off short. I recently got mine cut and cried for days. You feel ugly and not longer appealing without your long hair. Try to comfort her and KEEP telling her how beautiful her new haircut is. She will eventually get used to it and be ok.

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

Trust every man or woman has regretted cutting all that hair off. Everyday when I was growing out my hair and I was imagining it looking like it does now.

Why couldn't she have cut it just a little shorter like waist length.

These make over shows don't really know what they are doing to people.

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

well when i got my longgg hair chopped it felt good to get it off and no more nots but now i miss it sooooooooo badly!

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

Perhaps it's due to the fact that her hair is symbolic for her. She started growing it during a great time in her life and now by cutting it she sees that that particular period is over.

I loved it when I cut my hair. I could sit on it when I was in high school and then one summer I chopped it all off, I mean ALL OFF... But as a young woman I have the advantage of time, I know that my hair will grow back if I want it to.

Just reassure your mom that you like her hair, that it is flattering and that she looks beautiful...

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

My hair's never been longer than a little below my waist, but I can understand how your mother must feel. My long hair is part of my identity. Not about what others think of me, but what I want for myself. It may be that this was also how your mother felt about her hair.

It's a shame she let herself be talked into cutting it. It's even worse that "friends" of hers thought that the length of your mother's hair was any of their business, and pressured her into doing something to make them happy, while ignoring what she wanted for herself.

About the only thing I can suggest to you is that you be supportive, even if you don't understand the depth of her feeling of loss. She may be feeling very disappointed in herself for giving into her friends and doing something she wishes she hadn't, as well as unhappy that her "friends" showed her so little respect.

Maybe you could offer to help her find ways to arrange her hair so she'll feel better about herself while it's growing back. And, you can let her know that there are other women who understand the way she feels. It's not much, but sometimes just knowing that not everyone thinks you're being "silly" helps.

.

What did a woman feel when she cut her very long hair?

I was afraid at first because I was used to wearing long hair. But I remembered, it's hair and it WILL grow back. Now I feel a bit liberated and I like the funky cut. 2D

More than 50 strands hair lost after bathing?

You can help reduce the effects of hair loss from stress, trauma, shock or illness by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants.

Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dy

I am completely lost on this subject. I have never died my hair before with fear that I will look completely horrible. I really want to dye it, but I don't see much choice of where to go. Anything from blonde, to red, to ... just about all the colors most people would use, simply wouldn't work (I mean highlights, not all my hair, on the other hand, considered dying all my hair Black, not brown, black, just to see what that would be like.) I would really aprecate it if someone could help me out and give me some options so I don't make one of those huge mistakes I've seen been done before. THANKYOU!!! :D

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dye my hair?

why do u even have to dye it? keep ur natural hair color

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dye my hair?

keep it dark sexy and exotic

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dye my hair?

light brown with dark blonde highlights

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dye my hair?

dont dye it!! I love sexy tan guys with brown hair

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dye my hair?

Having black hair I would Not try blond. You will end up with orange hair and possibly every other color. You have the option of adding highlights to the color you have now. Which you will have to get it redone every 6-8 weeks. However, my suggestion to you would be to color it a caramel or chocolate brown and add some honey highlights through it with allot around your face since you are tan. I'd say stay away from the auburn.. I don't like the way it looks in the summer... Good luck! :)

I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and tanned skin (more to the dark) what color should I dye my hair?

Hmm, well I can see the challenge here since you have very dark hair and are inexperienced with hair dye. Anything you do to lighten it is going to be permanent. If you lighten it and don't like it, then you may try to dye it back to your original color, which is nearly impossible if you have multiple color hilights naturally. A drastic change like going blonde or red when you never have before can be quite shocking and even traumatizing if you are not used to coloring your hair, and you may regret it.

If you are flirting with the idea of black, I would try that because it is very close to what your hair is already, so the change will be subtle. With your tan skin it should make you look fabulous! If you end up not liking it, you can always get a darker color to come out (which is not the case with lightening). If you are really unsure and have never done it before, you may wish to talk to a hairstylist who specializes in coloring to give you some advice.

If you decide to color it yourself, when you pick out a brand, remember that more money does not always mean better quality, no matter what the box says. Sometimes you are just paying for a brand name. I dyed my hair several times with Loreal FERIA (which can cost anywhere from 10 to 15 dollars) because they promote it so much and when you go to that section of the store there is so much of it. The last time I dyed my hair I decided to go with a cheaper brand Revlon Colorsilk, because they had a shade that was closer to what I wanted, and I have gotten MORE compliments on my hair from other people than I ever did using the more expensive brand.

Good luck, I hope you like whatever you decide!

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

okay well im not exactly a pure vegatarian, i eat fish.

im 16 and ive been a what ever i am for 3 years now

my hairdresser said i have a 1/3 of the hair i used to have and i believe her my hair is soooooooo thin and my dad complains that i get sick wayy to much (but i dnt agree w.him)

neways i have vitamins but i hateee them i know thats not a good excuse but id rly prefer not to take them

and i rly dnt research what im supposed to be eating or pay attetion at all but i wanna start

does ne1 have any food that they know help when it comes to protein and stuff like that? or any recipes or tricks.. please help

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

Sorry this a long answer. I wanted to be as informative as possible. Rest assured I didn't just copy paste a whole mess of info!!!! :-)

First of all, I would go to a doctor if you can afford it to rule out any serious medical conditions apart from possible vitamin deficiencies.

Secondly, it sounds like you would like to get more vitamins and protein. If you do not like supplements b/c the pills upset your stomach (like me), try kiddie vitas or vitamin powder (can get at Trader Joes, Whole foods, etc). However, if you are avoiding supplementation because you do not want the "unnaturalness" of pills, here are some suggestions:

-- Eat lots of dark leafy greens (spinach, kale, etc).Dark leafies have so many good vitamins and minerals. I like Kale and make it with a miso dressing (miso paste, vegan mayo, rice vinegar, sweetener). Miso, incidently has about 2g protein per serving- not a huge amount, but these little bits add up.

-- try using blackstrap molasses in place of some sweetener in recipes. For a sweetener, it is surprisingly nutritious and has significant amounts of Ca, K, Mg, and Fe (Iron).

-- Nutritional yeast. NY can be a vegan's (like me) best friend, but it is also good for vegetarians or semi-vegetarians as well. NY has B12 (hard to get elsewhere if vegan) and lots of amino acids

Key vitamins for healthy hair include, A, C, E, biotin, B3, B5, B6, and B12. Information about these and good food sources can be found here: http://hairloss.about.com/od/preventingh...

If you would like to monitor how much of what vitamins you are getting each day, make a free fitday account (fitday.com). This website allows you to enter each food and see nutritional info including vitamins of your diet.

Thirdly, you expressed an interest in upping your protein uptake. Here are some suggestions for food sources:

--Since you stated you eat fish, I would suggest eating oily fish ((like salmon) the most since there are good amounts of omega 3s (flax seeds are a veg source of some fatty acids, fyi). However, be sure to not overdo the fish intake b/c fish (especially swordfish, mackerel, and tilefish) because of mercury levels in the fish (for more info on Hg levels, see http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~frf/sea-mehg.h...

--Good sources of non soy veg protein are beans and quinoa. Quinoa is a grain (or seed, rather) with a high level of protein and complete essential amino profile.

-- Fermented soy is a good, healthy choice as well. If you get tired of tofu, try tempeh. It is my favorite. Tempeh is a fermented soy product originating in Indonesia. It has a less gooey/spongy texture than tofu and is more nutty tasting. Here is a recipe I personally use to marinate the tempeh. It give it a very savory, meaty taste. You can put tempeh in stir firy, salads, sandwiches, and even on pizza. It is very verstile so experiment with different marinades and applications.

Tempeh Marinade (no fixed amounts of ingredients below)

-Balsmic vinegar

-soy sauce

-nutritional yeast

-spice (I use montreal steak seasoning)

-miso (optional)

Just mix and marinate!!! After, grill, bake, or fry up your tempeh!!!

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

i would go to your doctor and have yourself check out to make sure that it not something really wrong

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

make a doctor appointment right away, make sure you can rule out something else not being wrong with you and make sure you are eating balanced

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

If you're not willing to do research, you probably shouldn't jsut blindly cut yourself off from meat. Why are you a vegetarian? If it's for animal rights, you may want to consider which is more important: the little piggies or you. Meet with your doctor and come up with a healthy alternative for meat, or go online and look up vegetarian diets. You can even buy books on it, vegetarian- and vegan- ism are in style now, you shouldn't have a hard time finding something.

If you're not committed enough to take your vitamins you should probably just opt for adding that steak to your diet.

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

Start here:

www.vrg.org/nutrition/teennutrition.ht...

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

The protein in vegetables is incomplete: it does not contain all of the amino acids necessary for health. If you eat the right vegetables, you can get all of these, but it sounds as though you aren't. Also, a vegetarian diet does not supply vitamin B-12, an essential nutrient. Bottom line: eat some meat; you will be healthier.

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

I think because you lack of B complex( which is very important for your hair). Try to eat more bean sprout( my secret tips to keep my hair pretty =D ). I eat bean sprout mostly everyday unless the salad bar out of it or I cant access to the salad bar

Do you ger enough rest? Stress could be the problem.

I know that people always make a big deal about being vegetarian. My mother always complain I am being vegan too.

Also, watch the list of ingredient in your vitamin. your hair need good source of zinc , magnesium to grow. There is some kind of vitamin that support your hair, nail and skin. it is kinda expensive though( i think around 15 or 20$$)

I gave some hair care tips in other questions. Check my profile( I think I answered those questions about 3 moths ago)

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

Sounds like you don't have a very balanced diet!

Try eating more Citrus fruits, Peanuts, walnuts, Sunflower seeds, Flax Seeds, Oatmeal, and Brown rice.

Get some of those Birds Eye Frozen vegetables too. They come in steamer bags and you can pop one of them in the microwave for about 5 %26amp; 1/2 minutes. Eat one of them everyday!

By the way, you are not a vegetarian if you eat fish. Vegetarians do not eat any kind of animal meat.

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

As you stated, you aren't vegetarian.

I love that people are jumping immediately to the "it's because you're vegetarian %26amp; aren't getting vitamin b%26lt;number%26gt;/protein". Wrong. Read the question. TROLLS: TAKE NOTE before you try to add this to your arsenal of crap. NONVEGETARIAN.

Go to the doctor.

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

You're probably missing some mineral in your diet. Go to the doctor and get a blood test, and then check out the results.

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

those are also some signs of anerexia, you might not be eating enough and you also do need more protien

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

A balanced and moderate diet will restore you to good health. Google "Flexitarian Diets" and check out the websites.

Teen vegatarians.. so im losing my hair, and i get sick easily..not enough protein?

It sounds as if you're not getting enough nutrients from your diet.

If you just stopped eating meat and didn't bother replacing it with healthier, plant-based alternatives, it's no wonder you're sick.

I would recommend going to a nutritionist, she should be able to analyze your condition and what foods you need more of. Doctors are generally very ignorant of nutrition, so don't bother going to them.

Good luck!

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

I recently (as in two weeks ago) got a wavy weave, using human hair, premium now, brand magic wave hair. However with daily brushing, the hair as lost the majority of it wave with one side of my hair being pratcially straight, which sucks as my attraction the hair was the waves.

1)So my question is it possibe for me to get the waves to the form they once WERE, i.e deep waves, and how do I do this??

2)How is it best to maintain wavy weave, please could I have step by step instructions lol

thanks ladies xxx

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Wash your hair and put a light conditioner on it, towel dry then using a bobble tie the hair up from the bottom of the hair upwards into a kind of bun. allow to dry naturally and leave it in as long as you can, when its still damp apply a small amount of moose to the bun, leave a while longer then shake your hair loose. you can finish off the look by applying a touch of serum to the ends to gloss it over !! wavy hair!! :O)

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

have you tried talking to your hairdresser?

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Okay, you should have been given these tips at the salon. If you had it done at home you should have read the instructions, as every hair care is different.

Anyway, Wash the weave- make sure not to be aggressive with it. apply a treatment onto it(I love botanicals range for that). and leave on for 10-15 minutes. wash out and leane to dry naturally, making sure to COMB it out slowly, and use a tiny amount of grease/oil whatever you use. this should help it to go back to its original style. alternatively, you could get a new one put in...

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

You can style it the same as human hair.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Unweave it.

Why is my Husky losing her hair? Open for details....?

She just had puppies about 3 months ago. She has never shed this hair much before. She also has very dry skin. I took her to the vet and he gave me an antibiotic and Etiderm shampoo. Her skin is not getting any better, and now her hair is falling out! She's not bald, but getting there. Any advice?

Why is my Husky losing her hair? Open for details....?

knowital above is right ,

but you should give her zinc and omega 3.6.9. this will help her alot , and should clear up the problem.

Your dogs immune system is low and since your vet gave Etiderm your dog needs zinc . please see the link below , and don't forget the omega 3,6,9, very important for her to recover from whelping my dogs get omega prier to breeding and all threw pregnancy and nursing , and I have never had a blown coat since

http://www.siberianhuskyhealthfoundation...

Why is my Husky losing her hair? Open for details....?

Prgnancy, whelping and nursing takes its' toll on even the strongest of b itches. Ideally your ****** should have been fed on a very high quality puppy food, fed almost on a ad lib basis, from about her third week of prgnancy, right through to a good month after she has finished nursing - longer if she was/is having trouble regaining health. It is not uncommon for b itches to suffer temporary alopecia following a litter, and, as she regains peak health, she SHOULD also regain coat.

Might sound stupid but do body builders lose their body hair or they remove it?

Well...every built up guys you see mostly dont have body hair...like hairy chest, and all?

and well...how do you get rid of body hair permenently?

is there a way that they can be gone forever?

Might sound stupid but do body builders lose their body hair or they remove it?

They remove the hair.

There are lots of procedures that can be done to remove the hair. Some are temporary and some are permanent. They may shave or wax the hair off. If they want more permanent results, they may get lazer hair removal, which burns the hair follicle below the skin and prevents the hair from growing back. I hope that helped!

Might sound stupid but do body builders lose their body hair or they remove it?

They either shave or do laser hair remove. I think it takes about 4 or 5 visits

Might sound stupid but do body builders lose their body hair or they remove it?

I have worked in a Gym for the last 5 years and most of the body builders I know shave or wax their hair...they say it makes their muscles more defined and looks sleeker for competitions...and there are laser hair removal solutions that are supposed to be permanent...@}-{--

Might sound stupid but do body builders lose their body hair or they remove it?

they all wax

sorry that the people who answered before me cant read. emo is just a style, and people dress in it not because they are depressed, but because they like it.

anyway, you'll probably be looking for a wax product to make your hair stick up in the back. i am familiar with bed head, but not with their names. look for "control freak" i think. as for the front, to keep it slick and shiny, try something in a spray or a mousse. there is a product line for iron straightened hair that is a mousse that your put on to keep the hair from getting frizzy. i dont remember the name but i believe its in the control freak line of TiGi (bed head).

Would short emo hair look good on me?

no short emo hair doesnt look good on anyone. very unattractive

Would short emo hair look good on me?

you dont have emo bangs.

you have a split parting where you fringe/bangs whatever have grown out.

learnwoman

Would short emo hair look good on me?

we don't need another emo/depressed kid on this earth. very unattractive.

Would short emo hair look good on me?

It's not that the hair is thicker in the front, it's just all combed forward. You have really nice hair. And congrats on losing the weight! That's wonderful! You have a heart shaped face, not sure if that emo look would be so good. Keep up the great work.

Would short emo hair look good on me?

I am female so ill say this to opposite gender. Emo guys are hot but usually look better with long hair. Like medium length. I don't know if i'd go too short. Then again your female. I don't really like the look of emo on girls no offense so i wouldn't be able to say much about it, although the picture you sent, the second one about the front style looked nice

Would short emo hair look good on me?

sorry but no

you look great with long hair!!!AS for EMO please do not become emo !!!!Its terrible but emo is just a way people make excuses for being depressed or sad!!!Like makeup hides you!! But if you must be emo thenkeep it long with like a red streaks through it!!!

Layered hair question [read for details]?

Yesterday I got my hair really, REALLY layered and cut. It kind of retains a messy look because of that, and I like it. It's just past my shoulders. My hair was really really thick to start with, so it was always really wavy... and now that my hair is shorter, I'm sure it'll probably go insane. After my shower I blow dried my hair and put in some mousse and kind of ruffed up my hair a bit... but will I need to use a straightener? I don't want my hair to lose the layered/messy look but I also don't want my hair going super wavy/ curly. And I'm sort of scared that a straightener will just make it go flat.

Tips and answers would be great, thanks!

Layered hair question [read for details]?

definitely not :]

what you should do is get your straightener and start at the roots, then straighten directly outwards and up! go relatively slow, or the hair wont straighten.

once you have done this on all your layers, lift them up layer by layer and spray with hair spray under the layers, to give them hold and support.

you may even want to tease a little bit after that, but that it your choice

hope i helped!

Layered hair question [read for details]?

Dont straighten it because it will take the wildness out of it....if you want it to not be curly use a gel that specialises in curl untangles, cos that will make it less curly...Goodluck

Layered hair question [read for details]?

a straightener will make it look straight and what you could do is turn the straightener at the bottom in and poof it up a bit , OR you could do whatever you like and if it doesnt turn out right then go to the salon and ask them to make it look the way it did when it was cut then ask how you can keep it that way .

hope i helped

Layered hair question [read for details]?

Well any striaghtner will work, i use a chi but just turn it really low so i keep that messy look

I have many questions.my hair is thick and strait and wont scrunch how do i get it to work?look at t

Lol i know its a lot of questions but this was all i could ask for tonight so please answer them or some!

Also, please dont send any links because they arent working on here until a little while...

k,thanks

I have many questions.my hair is thick and strait and wont scrunch how do i get it to work?look at the details

Eyeliner: A dark brown. Black may be too overwhelming. Just smudge it a little.

Eyeshadow: Silver, gold, or some purples would work/

Mall: Just ask a few friends to come along and have a girl's night out or something.

Weight: I go on a jog every morning or I walk my dogs. If you have stairs, run up and down until you're too tired. Or you could try doing a couple jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups, or crunches. Once you can do a certain amount, just keep adding numbers. You'll be thin in no time! (Warning: dont wear u're self out unless you wanna be weak)

Hair: Depends on the length and cut. Try copying Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical or Ashley Tisdale.

Nails: I have no clue girl. Sorry!

Contacts: I dont wear em

I have many questions.my hair is thick and strait and wont scrunch how do i get it to work?look at the details

It's what's inside that counts. That's all I have to say.

I have many questions.my hair is thick and strait and wont scrunch how do i get it to work?look at the details

finger nails and hair to grow quicker vitiams and lot of water and eating healthy, try a brown and charcol eye liner, use lots of hair spray gel and a dyfuser on your blow dyer to helo scrunch hair

I have many questions.my hair is thick and strait and wont scrunch how do i get it to work?look at the details

I would take it that maybe you like some boy? And you want to look your best for him, so then he'll like you? Sorry if I'm wrong.

But anyway since you have brown hair you can pull off just about any color eyeliner and eyeshadow. I suggest black eyeliner and a darker eyeshadow like brown or dark gray.

Just ask someone to take you.

Losing weight isn't a "fast" thing. You have to work for it.

You could probally do it in 2-3 months. Don't stop eating like some girls do. Make sure you eat alot of grainy foods and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. You can do yoga, dance, push ups, crunches, sit ups and etc for the workout part. The "posh" haircut is very cute and looks good on anyone. You could google these things on google images. You can find nail strengthing nail polish for growing nails faster in the Sally Hansen brand. Look at certain shampoos and conditioners for hard to grow long hair. Rainbows mean your lesbian or gay. (sorry if you are)

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

i have naturally very thin curly medium length hair. the curls make my hair look reasonably thick as my hair looks thin when i straighten it.it used to be very ringlety but cos i have dyed my hair extreme colours over the past few years (plat blonde, blue, shocking red, pink etc) my hair has lost some of its springy curlyness at the top. however, i fancy a massive change. i fancy a very short hairstyle like the one the really thin blonde girl from americas next top model has. but, as my hair gets curlier when its shorter anyway, will it turn into an afro fly-away mess? what do you all think?

also, i have a fairly large forehead and so i would like some sort fringe, but will this go wrong cos if my curly fine hair? thankies people :)

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

Well, first, color. Hightlights and lowlights give dimension and will do so form your curls, making them more 3-dimensional.

For a short hairdo, perhaps you could look into relaxing your hair? Just a bit to loosen the springiness.

If you shorten your hair to a pixie cut, then the curl won't show up, but i wouldn't recommend going that short, because the growing out period will be a pain in the ****. Just look what happened to that chick from Felicity.

But my suggestion for your hair would be chin-length and layered, like this haircut Sarah Jessica Parker has which I liked so much, but can't get cos my hair is simply wavy.

Keep in mind that it was a bit shorter in back and stacked. It's great, very 1920s flapperish.

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

cut! It always grows back

If you have 10 inches, donate to locks of love

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

well i sugest tat u can get a side bang n flat or blow dry ur hair stair n use some product 2 keep it start...like 4 example u can u a long lasting hair spary after u blow dry or flat iron of u could use somr conditioner day use to keep it start...n 4 ur 4head u can u a side bang...

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

Hair is hair. it grows back. just do it. i myself had long hair to the middle of my back one day durring the summer i was bored and cut my hair myself scary yes but im glad i did it I havent had long hair since!

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

long hair is always more convenient. It can always be put into a ponytail especially nice in humid areas. A cut is nice but must be maintained at least every 2-3 weeks and who has time like that. Anyways it's winter your head might get cold. I say leave it long and think again in the spring/summer.

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

dont do it honest! i had long hair, but i decided that i wanted a bob, so i have got it done and have regretted it (even thow i won't admitt it because everybody told me not 2 do it!) you cant do anything with short hair, and because you have wavy hair it would mean you have to make the effort to straighten it daily! also - wot i really h8 about my hair is that it always look the same. because i struggle to tie it up, i never looked dressed up when i go out because i wear my hair the same for college as i do when im going out. its your hair and i do know a couple of people who havent regretted having it done - but personally i wish i never did it! hope you make the right desicision hun! xxxxx

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

I think that you should go ahead and cut it. Not only will it get rid of any damaged hair, from all the colorings and styling, it will also give your hair a change to renew itself.

I don't think it will turn into a mess, and if it does, then you can always use a product to tame your curls, like John Frieda's Frizz Ease.

And I don't know how fringe will work with your hair. Maybe try longer ringlets over your forehead.

You may want to try a free on line makeover site to try on different hairstyles if you are unsure. They are a great way to see what you could look like with different styles with your own individual face shape.

http://www.sandimari.com/VirtualSalon.ht...

Hair question, to cut or not to cut? need help!!?

I think you should just go head with the cut and just maintain you hair if you don't have time to maintain it i don't think that the cut will be right

Will bleaching your hair cause you to lose your natural haircolour?

Will bleaching your hair before you get pink highlights will cause you to lose your natural haircolour?

Will bleaching your hair cause you to lose your natural haircolour?

yes for a while but then your roots will grow back

Will bleaching your hair cause you to lose your natural haircolour?

i used to bleach my hair to color it random colors...i destroyed my roots and my color never came back the same...so yes you can do long term damage

Will bleaching your hair cause you to lose your natural haircolour?

Only on the hair that is showing at the time. Unless you burn the scalp badly, it won't affect the hair that grows out afterward. That's why dying and bleaching must be touched up every 4 - 6 weeks.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

After I shower, I always have hairs that come out. Whether its when I'm combing my hair, or while it's air drying, they fall out. I get very frustrated and I don't know what to do! I hate the idea of being bald, even though I know it's not that bad. I just hate having semi-thin hair. Im also in alot of sports and when I pull out my hair elastic, theres always a couple hairs on it. It just bugs me. Am I freaking out, or is there normality to my problem?

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

As a teen, I lost a lot of hair too, whether it be after a shower or just brushing my it. I went to the Dr, because it was making me crazy too. It was suggested that "normal teenage stress" was the cause, it happened into my early to mid 20's, so I went back to the Dr., at that time, I was told, it was the stress of my kids. Not true, although, it could have contributed to it. The reason was my thyroid, I have hypothyroidism. It's something you should have specifically checked. It's a test all of its own, just tell your Dr. that you want your "tsh" level checked. It shouldn't be any higher than 5, mine was 76. I was immediatley put on synthroid for this problem and have since then stopped losing my hair. ( now it's just turning gray, I do blame that one on my kids and hubby--- lol ). You should have this checked, it's better to be safe than sorry. It can be a dangerous thing without knowing it and hair loss is one of the signs of it. Of course there could also be lots of other reasons. Just be safe and find out. Good luck to you and God bless.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

that's normal. everyone looses hair...don't worry about it.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

I think you should go to the doctor because that may be a symptom of a disease or something. If not then it may be the shampoo that you're using. Try to use another brand to see what happens.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

Definitely. I had this same question when i was like 15. My dad's a hairstylist, so i asked him. Apparently it starts then, goes on forever. :-P I think the average is approximately 100 hairs a day. If youre starting to go bald, check it out.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

It's normal. I have really thick hair and lots of my hair come out when i take a shower.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

Its fine.

I lose hair while showering also. I think its from tugging your hair while washing and drying it.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

This is normal. Maybe you're getting lots of stress but losing hair is common. Everyone loses hair. A healthy person loses 30 strands of hair a day on average. I think you are fine, but if big clumps of hair fall out, I suggest seeing a doctor but few strands on hair elastics? I think you're fine.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

I have always lost a lot of hairs daily and so far, i am not close to being bald. I am in my mid thirties and remember being a teen and seeing the drain filled with hair and totally freaking! I try to wear clips most days lately so I dont have as much breakage as you would with a elastic hairband (and when i do i always use the good ones that are material covered) and dont sleep with your hair up in anything. hope this helps. if you are really concerned, ask your dr. but i know you are not alone in this one!

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

The only problem will be if you lose a giant clump. that could mean cancer. But otherwise, you're perfectly fine! everyone loses their hair, like some others said

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

i used to think the same thing. hair falls out in the shower all the time and also when i brush my hair. for some reason as i got older my hair got thinner and theres not as much of it but still a normal amount. its completely normal. i used to be worried too but its fine. this problem occured with my best friend too because i went to her for help and she said she went throught the same thing and we both still have a full head of hair =) loosing some hair in hair ties is also normal.

Is it normal for a girl teen to lose alot of hair after showering?

It is normal to lose up to a hundred hairs a day. But if you're losing 100 hairs every time you brush, it's excessive.

In women, excessive hair loss can be due to stress and hormone fluctuations. You may be noticing more hair loss as you near ovulation and or your menstruation.

Next time, count the hairs. I bet it's not as bad as you think but if it is, go see your doctor, your hair is trying to tell you something.

At what temperature will hair freeze solid and break off? Flexible hair keeps polar animals safely w

Hair, and feathers, are made up of keratin protien as I recall. While growing up in Northern Canada I watched large Ravens fly overhead in intense cold winters of -70 Degrees. Their feathers remained flexible and strong enough to keep them warm and flying. Polar bears and Penguins likewise can live in extreme cold without having their fur or feathers snapping off and leaving them naked and vulnerable. But, surely Keratin protien must freeze solid enough to break at some temperature! Does anyone know when hair (and feathers) will freeze solid enough to lose its flexibility and then break?

At what temperature will hair freeze solid and break off? Flexible hair keeps polar animals safely warm.?

Hair will freeze at 0 grades Kelvin.

And at the second question it's yes.

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it l

my hair use to be really frizzy and curly but after i started straightening it often i lost some of my curl... i prefer it straight thought so it doesnt matter much because it makes it easier to straighten... the question is...

what shampoo/product should i use to maintain the shine in my hair even though i flat iron it often... and still have it look REALLY straight..

and is there a way i can make my hair straight.. for longer periods... like a product that makes it last longer even after showering??

oh also what is the best type of hair straightener... i have remington 30 level heat wet to straight version (although most of the time i let my hair dry first and then i straighten it..)

so any help/advice?

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it last longer

there are a few products you need to get and it will make a huge difference in your hair. First for shampoo and conditioner you should get paul mitchell sleek look then you would want to get the sleek look shine serumthat it going to keep your shine and keep your hair from getting frizzy. You could also try using Bed heads After party that is a product that you can use as a second day styler. So if you want to keep your hair straight without washing it you would use that. the longer you can go without washing your hair the better your hair needs the oils in it to stay healthy.Especially if you flat iron a lot.

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it last longer

A friend of mine has the same problem, she uses Biosilk serum, it gives her shine and keeps it straight. Another one is Sebestian has good products as well. You may have to keep trying, plus I've been told you should change your hair product every other month to avoid build up and not have it work as properly. Keep trying you will find something.

Oh and that is a great straightener

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it last longer

after washing your hair, put straightening mousse or gel in your hair %26amp; then blow-dry it! works for me.

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it last longer

i haave the exact same hair and i used to straighten it ALL THE TIME, but now since its summer ive finally found a way to let it go curly and be BEAUTIFUL i love it, but when i straightened it i used redken fabricate while straightening which helped seal it in, then when i was done i used herbal essences flat out finishing spray

if you decide you want to try the curly way, i can e-mail u my method...my e-mail is bluejulia93@aol.com

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it last longer

Ok I have the same kind of hair. My hair was really curly until I started straightening it alot. I use every product made by Fructis. They make products especially for curly hair. Ok I use the shampoo and conditioner in the shower (even if I'm going to do it straight I still use the products for curly hair). When I get out I apply the leave-in conditioner. Then I apply this hair straightening spray called Beyond the Zone (from Sally's Beauty Supply) and spray it throughout my hair. Then I let my hair dry just a little and then I use my CHI iron and my hair comes out soft and shiny. Seriously, my hair is very healthy and I straighten my hair pretty much every day. Hope this helps.

Curyly hair and straightening it often. how to maintain shine. or is there a product that makes it last longer

i had the exact same thing happen to my hair. i never wear it curly anymore and it stays straight for 2-3 days between washing. that's one thing, i dont wash my hair every time I take a shower(it doesn't get greasy or anything). also NEVER straighten your hair from wet even though the straightener says its okay. it will give you lots of split ends in the long run. Also for making your hair stay straight I reccomend CHI silk infusion. you put some on before and some after straightening. it makes it look like you have naturally straight hair and gives it the shine that most people who straighten their hair find it hard to achieve. Honestly people are really surprised when they find out I have naturally curly hair so I hope you try this! good luck :)

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

Let's get to the nitty-gritty. I'm 5'7". Here are my measurements.

Bust: 38

Waist:34

Hips: 42

Weight: 165-ish

Pretty bad right? I really like exercising, and I obviously need to lose weight, but I hate what it does to my hair. In case you didn't know, ethnic hair doesn't go well with sweat. Please tell me I there's a way I can exercise without my hair looking like I just got into a fight (and lost). If there isn't, fine, but, if there is, I'd like to know. I'm 13 btw. I'll understand if you don't believe me. =)

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

you could try doing exercises that dont get you tooo sweaty. like sit ups, or arm exercises, or a fast walk. that will help keep your head from getting too sweaty. but if your going to run, and you want to lose the weight, you will have to run, then just do that last and then shower

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

Sadly, as black females, we have to make a choice: our body or our hair. I recommend either getting braids or weave. Make sure you wash your hair more often since you are sweating.

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

I know how you feel...put a scarf on with your hair in a ponytail..it will work great. Or you can always do a shower cap lol

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

Well if your SO concerned about your hair, i guess just work out a lot doing moderate things, like Leslie's walk away the pounds, is moderate walkingg, and you really dont sweat. its 1 mile walk, there are others ones for 2 %26amp;%26amp; stuff.

hope it helped!!

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

What I do is hairspray my hair in the mornings with a good strong one that will keep the frizz and hair down and at least presentable. When you workout, make sure to put your hair up in a tight bun or use a big clip to hold it together. That way it minimizes the amount of hair that gets in your way. Nobody is going to look great after a workout anyway, so don't worry too much about it. Another alternative is do your workouts at night and take a shower just before you go to bed.

Exercise and not ruin my hair?

There are lots of ways to be a more active person without getting sweaty. Walking more, riding a bike at a leisurely pace, even cleaning or gardening or shopping- anything but sitting on the couch watching TV. Yoga and pilates are also really good for toning.

By the way, I don't thing your stats are too awful. If you can tone and firm what you've got you'll be fine. Ask your doctor what they think about your fitness. And try to love your body and your hair.

Rapidly thinning hair and a lot of hair loss help?

my hair has been thinning like crazy for the last few months...ever since July I would say...i mean before my hair fell out in the shower n randomly too but not as much...twice, I had 2 put our hair in2 tight bun..n wear this thing on our head..culd tht b the problem..n then I went to india were the water was completly not sanitary n not good 4 my hair...is tht the problem? also, my hair fell out tremendously in india..n there, I got my hair dyed by this lady n she just used garneir package..like the one bought in stores...n i think tht might have damaged my hair further...n now its been 3 months since ive been in india..n here i take good care of my hair yet it still falls out..i got it cut very short so its easier to care for n grows faster,..n use volumizin shampoo, but i have lost probably 60-70% of my hair..i used to have very thick n nice hair..

i' want my hair bak..its soo thin now..wht do u think is the problem 4 such hair loss? wht can i do to get my hair grow back n b thick?

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 闅哣 if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

Rapidly thinning hair and a lot of hair loss help?

You could be anemic (lacking iron). This is the most common reason for hair loss. Another reason can be an allergy or skin disease. I suggest you go to the doctor, get your blood work done and consult about it.

Rapidly thinning hair and a lot of hair loss help?

Get Nioxin!! It's a little pricey but is well worth it. I had a similar problem to yours and my hair broke off up to my ears and I had hair a little past my shoulders. I pretty much had a short bob. I went to a salon and this lady told me about it. I used it and within 6 months my hair had grown back to my shoulders, and past it. Since I have my hair back healthy I now alternate washing my hair with biosilk. Give it a try.

How do I get those big loose curls, tight curls, AND wavy hair? Please help lol?

I'm spanish, but I don't have that natural curly hair (i take after my european father) i have thick hair and it goes to about, right under my breast, when straightened.

my hair is currently, wavyish straight, when it's natural. it's super frizzy, and living in south florida adds to it.

i really dont know hwo to style my hair (im 19 and im just getting into all of that stuff)

i was hoping someone could tell me

1-how to get those big lose beautiful curls

2-how to get nice curls all throughout my hair.. small to medium sized

3-and how to get my hair a attainable, nice looking wave.

thanks

How do I get those big loose curls, tight curls, AND wavy hair? Please help lol?

Moose and a curling iron

How do I get those big loose curls, tight curls, AND wavy hair? Please help lol?

I can help you with the waves.

get a spray bottle {empty} and fill it up with cold water.

then add salt and spray it into your hair.

it looks great %26amp; works fantastically! Just be sure to wash it out after!

How do I get those big loose curls, tight curls, AND wavy hair? Please help lol?

Okay.

Now first of all if you wanna get rid of the frizz; condition it with kholesteral or a really deep conditioner at least once a week.

A good perm for your hair would be a piggy-back perm which will give you beautiful ringlet's and they come in any size, you just have to ask.

You can always curl it with a curler but the perm is better, Considering your Spanish the perm would take nicely to your hair.

A really deep conditioner will take care of the frizz though and if you put some plastic around your hair and put heat on it for about a half hour it will activate the conditioner or the kholesteral and it will make your hair very nice.

If you want a wave to your hair if you go to a hairdresser just ask for a wave, otherwise you will get something else. You probably mean a body wave which just adds body and wave, just make sure the hairdresser listens to what you really want and does it.

Be very specific, most should know what your talking about.

Losing my Hair!?

have two girls....my youngest is 4 mths old. After each baby my hair just seems to fall out by the hand fulls! Daily! My hair is thin anyway but now it is super thin and it is so depressing. Anyone go thru this? Can you offer any helpful solutions?

Losing my Hair!?

its what happens after you give birth. your hormones while pregnant cause normal shedding to not occur, so when your hormones begin to fluctuate back to normal all that hair falls out! i know its awful...i have a 5 month old and i finally cut my long long hair off a month ago because shower time was scaring me (i was losing handfuls of hair)! there's not much you can do...just another thing that we all have to live through!

Losing my Hair!?

i went through this too. i just keeped on taking my prenatal and it helped out a little, and honestly i stopped brushing my hair. i just used my fingers to run through it after showers and while styling. i know that might sound wierd but it helped too.

good luck

Losing my Hair!?

I had my baby three months ago, and now my hair is starting to fall out. Is this normal?

Many new moms are surprised to find themselves shedding more hair than usual in the first few months after giving birth, but it's perfectly normal. And there's no need to panic: You won't go bald. In fact, your hair should be back to normal by your baby's first birthday.

Here's what's going on. Normally, about 85 to 95 percent of the hair on your head is growing and the other 5 to 15 percent is in a resting stage. After the resting period, this hair falls out 閳?often while you're brushing or shampooing it 閳?and is replaced by new growth. An average woman sheds about 100 hairs a day.

During pregnancy, increased levels of estrogen prolong the growing stage. There are fewer hairs in the resting stage and fewer falling out each day, so you have thicker, more luxuriant tresses.

After you give birth, your estrogen levels take a tumble and a lot more hair follicles enter the resting stage. Soon you'll have more hair coming out in the shower or on the brush. This unusual shedding will taper off and your hair will be back to its pre-pregnancy thickness about six to 12 months after you give birth.

By the way, not all women notice dramatic changes in their hair during pregnancy or the postpartum period. Among those who do, it tends to be more obvious among women with longer hair.

What can I do about it?

You won't be able to stop the hair from falling out, but you can experiment with different hairstyles or products (such as hair thickeners or mousse) to give your hair a fuller look during this transition period.

Many moms, tired of scooping hair out of shower drains or sweeping strands off the bathroom floor, find that now is a good time to go for a short cut. Plus, a short, wash-and-go hairstyle can be easier to take care of when you have a new baby in the house and you're strapped for time.

A note to new moms with long hair: Strands of hair can end up tightly wrapped around your baby's tiny appendages, including his fingers, toes, wrists, ankles, and penis. This is called a hair tourniquet, and it can be quite painful for your little one. If you find him crying for no apparent reason, check carefully for tight bands of hair.

Losing my Hair!?

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had the same problem after delivering my son. I talked to my hair dresser about this and she said it was normal. She told me the best thing to do was continue taking prenatal vitamins so when it grew back it would be healthier. I hope this helps.

Losing my Hair!?

It's normal to lose hair after giving birth. All your pre-natal vitamins and hormones make your hair grow in nice and thick and then it just falls out. If you really feel it's thinner than before you started having kids, I'd look in to Nioxin Shampoo and hair products. They are supposed to be really good. You could ask your hairdresser.

Losing my Hair!?

It's normal.

We normally lose about 100 hairs a day anyway, but when you're pregnant, the hormones don't let this old dead hair fall out, which is why hair seems thicker during pregnancy. The hair that should have fallen out each day during you pregnancy therefore all comes out in the months following birth.

All you can do is wait it out. You won't go bald, but it's a normal part of the the post-natal period :)

Losing my Hair!?

This is very normal. Nothing you can really do, just make sure you take care of your hair and because your hair is thin you could get a special conditioner for thin hair.

Losing my Hair!?

Oh yes, I've had this happen after each baby. It finally stopped about 6-9mnths after each. Annoying but nothing you can do about it. It will pass.

Losing my Hair!?

I feel your pain. My hair also seemed to fall out pretty bad during and after my pregnancy for awhile it kept coming out. I have a 6 mo old baby boy. I know that stress may have alot to do with it, so try not to let things really eat at you. I know it easier said than done. It took me a long time to learn to do it too. Keep taking your prenatals (especially if nursing) or your regular vitamins daily. Massage your scalp several times a day and when you wash your hair do it with cool water as both of these are good for the follicles, sometimes our follicles just need rebooting. Go to this website:www.hairenergizer.com it might be a help to read and give you more suggestions. I hope this has helped you.

Losing my Hair!?

I am going through this right now [good thing I have thick hair] My son is 3 months old and it is just falling right out. I don't know what to do about it. I have heard it happens because you have a boost of hormones during pregnancy which makes your hair thicker and then after you have your baby, your hair falls out because your hormone levels go down..

Losing my Hair!?

This is very common but that bad news is there isn't much you can do about it.

Normally, your hair is in a cycle of growing, resting and shedding. At any given time, you could be losing as many as 200 hairs per day. This is not a problem when you consider that there could be 100,000 or more hairs actively growing.

When you are pregnant, however, estrogen prolongs growth and those 200 hairs you'd be losing are put into the growth phase and very little hair is resting or shedding. This is why so many women who are pregnant have that thick, gorgeous mane.

After giving birth, your estrogen levels start to return to normal and so you start losing hair again. All that "extra" hair that was growing goes into the resting phase for a few months and then suddenly you are shedding all those hairs.

You can try taking your prenatal vitamins - it may help a little. Also wash your hair only every other day and try to comb it as little as possible.

The same thing happened to me and it was really bad for about three months. I ended up cutting my hair a little shorter and that seemed to help a little.

Good luck - I hope it gets better soon.

Losing my Hair!?

Happened to me also with my 2nd son, my hair is very thin now, was coming out by the handfuls, and my natural hair is very thick. My little one is 18 months. i gave him nothing but breastmilk for 7 months, i am naturally thin was around 125 lbs prepregnancy. I was very sick for the 1st 3 months, and went down to 115lbs in 2 weeks.By my 8th month I was 154lbs, but after delivery, I went down to 110lbs in 3 months.Breastfeeding makes you lose weight fast. I was so hungry all the time the 7 months after my 2nd son's birth. I used to eat a whole loaf of bread w/ peanut butter %26amp; whip cream, at times.that was my craving, but I still stayed 110lbs. My lactation specialist told me this would happen. I am now 112lbs, by choice. My baby is 18 months and is still nursing, he doesn't want to stop, nursing as I'm typing in fact, so I make sure I eat healthy. I continue to take my prenatal vitamins and a hair skin and nails vitamin in addition. The little ones take alot of nutrients from our bodies when nursing. Eat alot of proteins and veggies and continue taking your prenatal vitamins, especially if nursing. losing weight is good, but when you lose weight this way it robs your body of alot of nutrients.

Losing my Hair!?

Yeah almost every woman goes through this, but it's pretty bad when you start getting bald spots!! I already have thin hair to begin with also, and after my second pregnancy my bald spots are barely filling in a year after he was born! Sorry, such is life!

Losing my Hair!?

Mine did the same thing. It is all hormones. It will go back to normal soon.

Anybody im losing my hair and i really need the best idea to get it back im 20 years old /m whats th

20 yrs seems to be a unaturally young age to start loosing hair. Perhaps you are not getting the essential nutrients you need for healthy hair growth. I suggest talking to your doctor about this, it could be your eating habits, nutrient deficiency or overstress.

Take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day or if dieting, before a meal. Has 93 vitamins and minerals. Hair and nails will become super strong. Take it from me as I have never been able to grow hair or nails in 40 years. Now I am 50 and I have long hair and nails.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I've had it for awhile now and I really can't remember how bad my hair smelled before, but I cannot straighten my hair without it having a nasty smell. It's not like a burning smell, it's that combined with.. I can't even describe it. My hair will smell great out of the shower but I have to blow dry it straight then use the iron. After the nasty smell goes on my hair, the shampoo fragrance is lost forever! I am biracial (black and white) so it's big and curly.. it's quite a process. I am considering getting the Chi iron but I'm not sure what type of hair works well with it. Any suggestions for my type of hair? Or your experiences with the Chi?

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Could just be the quality of the iron going sour. If you've had it for a while, it definitely sounds like it just needs to be replaced.

If you don't use a product on your hair to protect it yet, definitely get one before starting to use the Chi. Otherwise, repetitive use will fry your hair.

It's better than smelly though. I've never had a problem with my Chi and I've had it for two years.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Chi is amazing!!! and it is better for your hair because it will cause less damage. it also heats up faster than any iron i have ever used and will straighten any hair. its kinda expensive, but i think they are worth it.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

i have a chi. it works very well on all hair types. you can also adjust the temp. on some.

to get the smell out use chi shine infusion. its what i use. it smells really good. and it works [but dont put too much in one spot itll make your hair greasy.]

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

The straightening iron I use has ceramic clay on the straightening part. You could try getting one of those, but they're kind of expensive!

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I did that to my hair once with a new iron and it took about a week to go away. I think it is from being too hot.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Hi There

With all the blowdrying and straightening, you are actually burning your hair by applying too much heat. Hair is protein and that is the smell you get!

You may want to avoid one heat process step by airdrying your hair first and then using the flat iron. You may also want to adjust the heat to medium instead of high.

If you need to use the blowdryer, make sure you hold the drier at least 6 inches away from your hair and scalp.

There are professional products which can be applied to the hair to protect it from the extreme heat, so if you want a personal answer or a product recommendation, pl email me.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I've never used the chi however I've had the same problem with my straightener. it happened to me when i had used it for a while and it was a wet2straight. hair straightener so sometimes i'd use it on damp hair when i was in a rush. i'm thinking that might have added to the smell + it burning my hair. i bought a new one and it's been fine now however. and from everyone elses comments the chi sounds good!

it's frustrating having the burnt hair smell. i understand that one! =/

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

This is because most of the really good ceramic flat irons use infa-red light for the thermal heat. This is why your hair may smell burned. Try spraying a light thermal spray to each section before using your flat iron. This will protect it from the heat as well as add a pleasant fragrance.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I have the Chi Iron and im Part Cuban so I understand..

Whenever you apply heat to your hair it has that smell, its not a burning smell but somewhat similiar..

I have wavy hair and I can get my hair bone straight with the Chi..

This is what you do..

First buy the Chi Oil. Its a serum that softens/soothes the hair that makes it excellent for flatironing. It gives you silky bouncy hair.

Steps:

Wash and condition your hair.

Towel Dry hair.

Take a quarter sized amount of Chi Oil and comb through your hair.

Let it air dry if you have time or blowdry your hair without the comb.

While you dry, brush your hair with a paddlebrush from the root to the end. This prestraightens the hair.

Once your done, part your hair into sections. I suggest two at the bottom, two in the middle, and multiple ones at the crown to the forehead.

Take one section and add HALF A DIME sized chi oil to each section.Blow dry carefully until smooth and then Flat Iron from root to tip. Make sure you get as close as you can to the root so you get rid of the curl as much as possible.

Do this all over your head.

Its easier to this in layers because you get close to the root then blowdrying your whole head at the same time. It makes the hair less thicker and smoother.

As you blowdry, put a slight bump in the end, kinda like how Aaliyah wears her hair. Too straight hair looks limp.

If you want to maintain the straightness, wrap your hair with bobbypins at night, like a beehive. Wear a scarf over it. The heat from your scalp and tightness of the wrap gives your hair extra straightness and keeps it smooth as you sleep..

In the morning take it out and style.

Biracial hair or any hair highly benefits from the Chi because the chi is a superhot ceramic flat iron. Its what the professional use.

I suggest getting the red one. The Black one is okay but the red one is the newest one.

I love the Chi, it makes my hair salon like when Im inbetween salon appointments or if I go to the beach and have to redo my hair when I get home.

If you get the Chi you shouldnt use it everday because its really hot and the heat can do damage if used incorrectly, If you have to, use it only on parts of your hair that really need attention.

Make sure you invest in a good conditioner as well like Biolage or Keracare.

For best results get the Chi Oil, its a little expensive but it is worth it!!!!! Your local black salon should have it.

Ebay has Chi Irons always on sale. I would buy it from there. They minimum price is like $120 unless you find a good deal.

Hope this helps!!!!!!

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

This can come from your iron itself or buildup deep in your hair. Either way, using a protective serum when you flat iron may help with the aroma and will definately yield the best results.

As a salon pro, I hear a lot about Chi products. They are truly top of the line and exceptionally good styling tools. However, they are very expensive. At the least, a flat iron with solid ceramic plates will provide great results. I use a Cricket brand professional flat iron that has tourmaline infused ceramic plates. This cost me 1/4 what the Chi iron would have and provides excellent results. It also advisable to find an iron with multiple heat settings. The less heat required to get your desired results means less damage to your hair.

Always use a thermal protective product to reduce damage, tame frizz, and add shine. The same company that makes the Chi iron also makes Biosilk hair serum... a great product for what you are trying to do. Biosilk is also quite expensive, but a generic version is available at Sally Beauty Supply (www.sallybeauty.com). I use this generic version on my salon clients and they can't tell a difference! Another great serum is Paul Mitchell's Sper Skinny Serum. This one is a bit thicker, but a little goes a long way and it smells like green apples.

Best of luck!

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

it's not all about the iron. use a ceramic iron they work the best. and a straightening cream that will help keep your hair from getting damage which will help to eliminate the burning smell. use the cream after you wash your hair and blow dry with a diffuser or let air dry COMPLETELY and then flat iron it. not only will it help with the smell and damage but will also make your hair much smoother and silky. i used to have the same problem (i also have biracial -half asian half black- hair). luck.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

Ive heard good things about CHI IRON! Its gets the job done and gets hot like fire. Sometimes a slight coating of Kemi Oil gets rid of the smell. Beauty is pain.....yes indeed.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

I've heard a lot of good things about it, although I hear it's expensive too. You should try some hair perfume - they have it at drug/grocery stores.

My flattening iron leaves my hair smelly?

try Braun new range, got the Ion shine in it, it wouldn't leave yr hair stink, dry or damage, its work for me and I've use it every days
