If it's not thyroid, do you crate your dog? My sister has a bulldog/boxer that she crated in a plastic crate and it started to lose hair on it's hip where it touched the plastic while it was in the crate. As soon as she started leaving her out of the crate the hair grew back! Good luck!

Have it tested for thyroid problems. This is one of many possibilities, but Boxers are prone to thyroid dysfunctions.

Boxers are prone to irratation due to sensitivity of their skin. My own boxer has a marking similar due to his vaccinations in the same region every time ( shoulder blade ) . The other option stated was he has something under the skin causing it .

most common cause is either thyroid dysfunction or hormone related in a female.See your vet for tests
