Hi, im 21 (male) ... i have never had hair loss all my life until a year ago when it started....now i lose almost 20 to 60 strands of hair every day ...is that normal ? ....many tell me it is ...but im still skeptical about it

how can you know how many hairs you have lost a day? do you count? i would say that you are very lucky losing only 20-60 a day as the average person loses 100 a day, and thats everyone, females, males, all ages.

It is normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day. If you have a family history of baldness, this could be the beginning of it. My son started to lose his hair at 18 and was most distressed but has now accepted it. (he's 22 and shaves his head). It could be related to diet/stress. Try not to worry about it. Que sera, sera!
